Book Blogger Hop and vampires

Talk about the social network, if you'd like to meet up with book bloggers such as yourself, hurry over to Jennifer's at Crazy for Books. There are tons of kindred spirits I'm sure you'd like to meet. I am only number 241, but there are many, many more wandering souls out there who will be signing up soon. With Halloween approaching, you'll be able to find tons of paranormal book review sites to explore. So get moving!

This week's question from Suko at Suko's Notebook: What's your favorite beverage while reading or blogging, if any? Is it tea, coffee, water, a glass of wine, or something else?

My Answer: In the morning coffee, in the afternoon something tall and cool or in the evening probably hot tea. Definitely nothing alcoholic as I would proably fall asleep! And there you have it!

In honor of Halloween,
let me re-introduce our sixteenth president, Abraham Lincoln...VAMPIRE HUNTER!
A word of caution, if you faint easily at the sight of blood, perhaps you should turn away!

Happy Hauntings to All!

One Lovely Blog Award

I was honored earlier this week to find myself (and the gato!) nominated for One Lovely Blog Award! It was bestowed upon us by The Crazy Cat Lady's Library.

To accept the award I must:

  1. Add the logo to my blog (check)
  2. Link to the person from whom you received this award and thank them (check, check)
  3. Pay it forward to 15 more blogs (hmmmm)
  4. Leave a message on their blog letting them know they are One Lovely Blog

Here is my dilemma, how do you nominate one over the other with so many great blogs out there? How do you choose? So I have come up with my own solution to this predicament...if you follow The Literary Gato consider yourself nominated. If you would like to accept this award just follow the instructions above and congratulations!

And by the've got ONE LOVELY BLOG!

Book blogger Hop, stop the presses and new flash

Time to join Jennifer at Crazy for Books and her Book Blogger Hop! Join with us for a chance to meet new people and blogs and have fun at the same time! Meme runs from Friday through Monday.

This weeks question come from Tina at Book Couture: How do you spread the word about your blog?

My answer: When I started blogging I wasn't sure how to go about building a readership. I thought maybe following blogs might make a difference and it did but I have to say things really didn't heat up until I participated in the Book Blogger Hop. This meme and others like it enable you to discover other like minded people and therefore expand your readership as well.

You can now add Mini Shopaholic to your library as the latest installment to the brilliant Shopaholic series! I can't wait to read it, can you?
Clicke HERE to read the first chapter!

Here is my opinion of the difference in book covers for Mini Shopaholic...

UK cover - so cute and makes me want to buy it and crack the book open immediately!

US cover - a bit of a letdown, nonetheless, I will buy this book despite its lackluster cover because I love Sophie Kinsella's books!
